Given all the other new metal on the motor show stands the new Discovery isn't likely to have people going mad with excitement. Land Rover has made a few changes to its popular model, but unless you're a dedicated Land Rover spotter you might struggle to point them out.

Stand out features?

For 2009 the Land Rover Discovery gets new body-coloured bumpers and wheel arch extensions, the latter also benefiting from a mild restyle. New wheel designs, revised door-handle colours and an updated Bluetooth telephone system inside pretty much complete the list of changes over the outgoing car. Not that we're complaining; the Land Rover Discovery has always been one of the best-looking 4x4s you can buy, and the changes - though slight on the cars at the show - only further enhance its appeal.

Showroom soon or never to be seen?

It'll be in the showrooms by the time the show finishes, so if you're after a mildly, but effectively, refreshed Discovery then give your Land Rover dealer a call.
